At CVP we offer the pupils the chance to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze/Silver award.
This programme is totally unique. Each pupil will take ownership of their learning and develop a programme based on their interests and goals.
There are four sections to complete at bronze and silver level. They involve helping the community/environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition.
Any young person at the provision can achieve their award – regardless of ability, gender, background or location. Achieving an Award isn’t a competition or about being first. It’s all about setting personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries.
Achieving a Bronze/Siler Award at Crisp vocational provision will give our pupils the skills, confidence, and an edge over others when you apply for college or a job. Beyond their academic achievements, employers want to see evidence of so ‘soft skills’ that you have developed through extra-curricular activities, such as communication, commitment, leadership, and teamwork. The DofE Award is a fantastic way to demonstrate and evidence these skills in practice.
