Expectations

  • Ensure we keep a safe environment for all of the people that attend.
  • Efforts are made to continuously improve attendance and punctuality.
  • Respectful behaviour, both to others and property. We ask students behave in a way they would like to be treated themselves.
  • Attendance to lessons- students have timetabled lessons so they can make the most progress possible and achieve the highest outcomes in a range of different subject areas. We expect them to work on their flexibility in order to broaden their skill set, knowledge and understanding of the world.
  • Clothing should be appropriate to the site; we do not permit Crocs, open toed shoes, slippers or slide ons in any capacity for health and safety purposes.
  • Students will be expected to be wanded and hand over phones. We do not permit vapes on site or any other prohibited items, such as cigarettes, drugs or alcohol and our behaviour policy will be followed in this instance. This process will be repeated at the end of the day and is part of our daily routine for all.
  • Finally; we expect the students to keep communicating with us. We want them to do well, we are here to listen and support and can offer this in many forms.

Student Support

At Crisp, Student Support is available at all times from our Engagement and Behaviour team through different forms. We have a thorough induction process that ensures that transition to our provision is smooth and effective; we want our environment to be as welcoming as possible.

If you need anything just ask, it’s important to communicate and feel safe.

We have dedicated break out spaces in the provision that can be used as required by students. We tailor the space and activities to meet the individuals’ needs in a nurturing environment.

We also have individual learning plans for students that are personalised to their needs and circumstances.

Probation

New students begin their placement under the terms of a six week probationary period. This gives students a chance to see whether the provision is suitable to their needs and that the provision can provide the help and support they need.

During this time we increase communication with parents, carers and referrers to ensure we have the best chance of the placement working out for the students that attend with us. After the six week probation period, placements are reviewed.

Further information can be found in the Behaviour Policy.
