Mission Statement

Crisp Vocational Provision began with a feeling; a feeling that those who either struggle to engage with mainstream schooling or the independent thinkers who wish to walk their own path, where mainstream placements have not worked out. To change this, a provision has been built in Bulwell, Nottingham, to support individuals, based on their own needs and desires. We aim to build young people up so they can chase their dreams with conviction and confidence, and over the last ten years, Kev Crisp, along with the support of different staff along the way, have worked to create just such an environment.

Our curriculum offer is broad and varied, allowing students to try different vocational subjects as well as some core subjects (Functional Skills) where possible. We offer practical, hands-on learning in small group sessions which allow for greater tailoring of learning across a variety of courses such as Mechanics, Construction, Digital Media, Catering, Duke of Edinburgh, Art and Sport. At Crisp, we also dedicate ourselves to nurturing our cohort as individuals- promoting self-esteem, empathy and agency while standing beside them as support for the often-challenging situations they find themselves negotiating. Using not only our subject knowledge but our life experiences and kindness, we challenge and develop our students as holistically as we can, increasing their ability to deal with whatever may come their way as they transition into adulthood.

The world can be a lonely place for young people lacking direction and guidance, however, it doesn’t have to be. Crisp Vocational Provision has welcomed in many students who have blossomed with us and gone on to succeed in whichever walk of life they choose, and they will always have us in their corner. We are passionate in supporting our young people through every step of their education.

We strive to support our students with ‘Building Futures for Tomorrow.’
