Kev Crisp set up Crisp Vocational Provision in 2013. After serving in the Army for years, he then found himself in the construction trade and then moving to work with disadvantaged individuals who were disengaged in their current setting.
Over the last ten years, CVP has grown from strength to strength, with the empathy for young people whom mainstream placements has not worked out, for various reasons, being the driving force for the success of the provision.
Kev has worked tirelessly over the years to create such a unique offer for the number of 12-16 year olds that attend, focusing on various vocational subjects (as well as core subjects for some) with a hands on a practical approach to allow individuals the opportunity to discover their strengths and leave with some recognised accreditations.
Additionally to this, Kev has recognised the importance of laying foundations, implementing strategies to support emotional wellbeing and providing opportunities for the young people to access a range of different life experiences- in preparation for life after CVP. He prides himself in building such a close and supporting community, for those that attend, across Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and further afield across the East Midlands.
Let’s see what the next 10 years bring for this exciting provision, which could not have been possible without Kev’s drive, passion and determination to make a difference.
